Supplies for Puffy Paint Juneteenth Flag

  • White cardstock
  • Liquid white glue
  • Bowls
  • Foam shaving cream
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush
  • Pencil
  • Food coloring
  • Cricut (optional)
  • Star template

Directions

  1. First, use a pencil to draw an arch in the middle of the white cardstock to create the Juneteenth flag.
  2. Next, mix equal parts of liquid white glue and foam shaving cream together in two bowls. Add red and blue food coloring in each bowl then mix.
  3. Dip your paintbrush in the DIY puffy paint then color your flag. Start with blue on top and blue on the bottom. Smaller children may get a little messy but that’s fine. Keep a wet towel nearby to clean up the little ones.
  4. Finally, print and cut out the free star template for the flag. Add the burst to the middle of the flag. Then add the star in the center of the burst. Once finished, set it aside to dry. This will take a few hours. Then they can show off their puffy paint Juneteenth flag!
